Autism – how, why and what to do
Autism is recognized as a severely incapacitating and life-long disability. Most describe it as a neurological dysfunction. Yet, the exact nature or type of dysfunction has not yet been determined. Autism was originally thought to be a rare disorder, however, more recent studies have estimated the prevalence of autism and related disorders to be as high as 20 per 10,000 live births. Currently, there is no definitive medical test, such as a blood test, to identify autism.
Autism is expressed in a very diverse manner yet most share common behavioural characteristics. Despite the vast number of differences, it is the similarities that allow for the diagnosis. The criterion set out in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual - Fourth Edition (DSM-IV) are used by psychiatrists, psychologists, and physicians to make the diagnosis.
- 1. Impaired ability to engage in social interaction;
- 2. Impaired communication skills; and
- 3. Specific behavioral patterns (e.g., preoccupation, resistance to change, adherence to nonfunctional routines and stereotyped and repetitive behaviors).
Other characteristics associated with autism may include, but do not have to be present include the following:
- short attention span / impulsivity;
- self-injurious behaviors;
- odd responses to sensory input;
- abnormalities of mood;
- an uneven profile of skill development;
- abnormalities in eating, drinking or sleeping;
- unusual fears or anxieties; and
- the presence of special abilities.
The following identifies a few of the researchers regarding causes of autism…
James Adams, Ph.D., Arizona State University, Professor - James B. Adams is a Professor at Arizona State University, president of the Phoenix Autism Society Chapter, and serves on the Autism Society Board of Directors. He has conducted research on the causes of autism and how to treat it, including nutritional deficiencies and treatments, toxic metals/chelation, and gut dysbiosis.
A review of medical literature indicates that the characteristics of autism and of mercury poisoning (HgP) are strikingly similar. Traits defining or associated with both disorders are summarized in Table A immediately following the Table of Contents and are discussed and cited in the body of this document. The parallels between the two diseases are so thorough as to suggest, based on total Hg injected into U.S. children, that many cases of autism are a form of mercury poisoning.

"Richard Mills, a research director at the National Autistic Centre, says that though there is clearly no single cause of autism, “no one can seriously suggest now that heavy metals are not implicated in some way”." [1]

Wow! I thought I had read every study ever done regarding mercury and autism. I have never seen this one. My feeling is they will never admit the link between thimerisol and autisum until one or both of the following ahs happened. 1. Everyone involved in this coverup is dead, or 2. They pass laws protecting all involved, or both. After reading this story I am going to post a link to. The evil this government and their bed fellows could do will never surprise me. Read this artical called The House That Aids Built by Liam Schiff.

Repeatedly, mercury and other metal poisoning comes up as causes of autism. If this is the cause – what is the answer. Perhaps we need to look at Dr Jill James’ research wherein:
Glutathione: We will briefly review the published study by Jill James, which found that children with autism have low levels of glutathione, which is required for excretion of mercury and other toxins, so it strongly suggests that children with autism have a decreased ability to excrete mercury.
Glutathione is a hugely important molecule in every cell of the body. This molecule does a huge number of functions, A few of the known functions include: anti-oxidant; anti-inflammatory ; regulates hormones; regulates, provokes development and response in the immune system; and is the body’s major chelator of toxic metals including mercury.
BUT…glutathione does not cross into the cell. There is no transport system into the cell for glutathione so taking it orally only provides expensive bowel movements… so what now?
Well we have two major options…one is MAX GXL – it is like a pancake mix in a capsule that provides the cell with all the ingredients necessary to make glutathione. Dr. Keller was an awesome physician and scientist.
The second option is Dr McCord’s work with Protandim – another mix in a capsule that is being studied by over 20 universities around the world and apparently turns on the “survival pathways” at a genetic level, ie., between 5-6000 genes out of our 25,000 genes. These pathways provide the tools to make glutathione (and do a huge number of other functions as well).
Between these two products we create both the tools and the means to make the pancakes, ie., in this case the glutathione . If glutathione is the master chelator in the body and is well known for it's capacity to eliminate mercury and other toxic metals from the system - then perhaps we should be looking down this pathway.
Just as a side note why we have not heard of this through pharmaceutical means: Dr Marcia Angell, author of The Truth About the Drug Companies: How They Deceive Us and What to Do About it , was the Editor in Chief of the New England Journal of Medicine. She wrote: “It is simply no longer possible to believe much of the clinical research that is published.” Pharmaceutical companies even hire ghost writers to concoct favorable product reports. Then those companies pay corrupt doctors or researchers to sign those biased reports that are then published in medical journals. http://www.naturalnews.com/033583_financial_ties_medical_societies.html#ixzz1YenPPDmq
