Chlorine in our water, but in our flour? (for more information, click here)
Chlorine: whether in water or white flour is detrimental.
Years, researchers proved years ago that most cases of bladder and urinary cancer have direct links to chlorine and its byproducts in our drinking water. In addition, subsequent studies indicated that drinking chlorinated water resulted in higher rates of : deadly pancreatic cancer, rectal and colon cancer, and possibly even breast cancer in women. (Am J Epidemiol 92;136(7):836-42) (Epidemiol 98;9(1}:29-35) (Am J Epidemiol 93;138(7):492-501) (Cancer Causes Control 97;8(2):192-200)
Studies have shown that there is a strong correlation between the length of time you drink chlorinated water and the greater the risk of neural cancer (brain cancer). Interestingly, there is a difference between the sexes. Males have a higher correlation than women. Men, who drank water for more than 40 years, having a 2.5 times higher probability of developing brain cancer than those who drank non-chlorinated water. CAm J Epidemiol 99;150(6):552-60)
But did you know that research has shown that when chlorine gas is used to bleach wheat flour to make it white, a by-product called is produced called: alloxan. Alloxan destroys beta cells in the organ that makes synthesis: insulin.
While chlorine in the water has a strong association with brain tumors; chlorine used to bleach flour has a strong association with diabetes.

In both situations, glutathione can help deal resolve the challenge. Glutathione has the highest concentration in the liver where the blood glucose levels are initially processed. High levels of glutahtione aid the liver to do this initial metabolic process.
Glutathione is also important in the pancrease and in the Beta Langerhan cells. High levels of glutathione in the pancreas protect the pancreas from the loss of Beta Langerhan cells.
Finally, high levels of glutathione in the liver and the brain prevent oxidative stress and inflammation in the brain.
