GLUTATHIONE - in a food, drink, supplement?
Glutathione has to be made inside of the cell - you cannot take it as a food, a drink or a supplement. So how do you get your body to make it? (click here for more information).
For more information about why you need glutathione - you can watch the short videos at the end. The following is about how to get glutathione into your system.
You can purchase glutathione, in a health food store, as a supplement and get expensive bowel movements. But most of us do not want to waste our money on that. Glutathione is a tripeptide and is broken down into three amino acids in the gastro-intestinal tract. While we will absorb some of the molecules, we do not absorb GLUTATHIONE!!! There is no transport mechanism to get extra cellular glutathione into the cell - there is however mechanisms to transport glutathione from the inside of the cell outside, especially in the liver. So we can not eat more of a food or a drink or take a supplement to get it. What we need is a variety of molecules inside the cell so the cells can make it. Unfortunately, some of these molecules are either in short supply in our food or don't make it into the cells.
The most difficult of the three amino acids, to get into the body is the cystiene. It is a very difficult molecule to keep stable and has to be connected to a thiol and a hydrol. About 15 years ago, a scientist patented a way to stabilize cystiene to help the cellular production of glutathione and in fact showed an increase of glutathione production about 15-30%.
Today, however, there is a composition patent that has shown an average increase of 292% in two months for the average person. What makes this a particularly unique product is that it is like a pancake mix. It has all the necessary ingredients, in the right ratios, to make glutathione effectively within the cell.
