The lining of your gastrointestinal tract is in fact one of the filters between the outside of our body and the inside of our body.  The lining becomes plugged with herbicides, pesticides, stabilizers, fillers, colorants, preservatives, toxic metals,  anti-biotics and growth hormones, medications, etc that we poor into our systems through our mouths. 

 

 If they get through the lining of the stomach into the (portal) blood system they can clog up the arteries.  If they get through the arteries into your liver, they can clog up your liver in its attempt to metabolize, detox and store all the molecules that travel through is cellular systems.

 

All the old traditional medical practices around the world utilized detoxification as a primary method of dealing with disease, imbalance, and disorder in the body.  However, the practice of detoxification got lost in Western cultures.  Ironically, we need it more than ever because we are pouring more “crap” into our systems then ever before.

 

There are many ways to detox.  Ways that effect certain organs or a given system.  Effective ways allow the system to detox while providing great nutritional value along the way.  Many store bought methods also include whey proteins, unfortunately, most whey proteins are pasteurized rather than cold pressed and we loose out on all the amino acids and other nutrients as pasteurization “denatures” them.
