As we have heard so many times, vaccinations and probiotics, destroy the healthy bacteria / microbiota in the gut.  As a consequence, children have more allergies than ever before.  In fact, food allergies have increased by 20% just in the last 10 years.  They are also more susceptible to colds, flus and even issues like diabetes.  Much of this is a consequence of the over use of anti-biotics and an ineffective diet lacking in healthy fats and good fibers.

BUT, there is a solution.  A group at the University of Chicago, found that if we increase the healthy microbiota, the Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) bacteria, in the infants and young children, we can eliminate the milk allergy.

This group of bacteria help the gut to create butyrate – which is a short-chain fatty acid.  One of the roles of butyrate is to eliminate ammonia and neurotoxins from the gut.  In effect, it becomes a natural detoxifier.

As usual, we find that the more man gets involved with our food, and all the food processing, the more detrimental it becomes.  Good reason to go back to basics.
